Coding Continued
To be completely honest, coding and I are not the best of friends. The more I do it, the more I become disheartened by it. When it came to functions and repeating, I feel like I read and watched so many videos and still could not figure out how to do it properly or not have any errors pop up. In the end, I just decided to have it repeat four times, but I don't think that was the point of redoing this assignment.
When it came to randomness, I was able to properly input the function and have it generate numbers, but from there I wasn't quite sure what the point of it was. It would give me a list of numbers so I knew it was working, but then how to apply those was lost on me. I liked the design I created, but again it was really simple and I think given my frustration with coding, I wasn't able to make it more complex, which frustrated me further. I have left this assignment with a sense of dread. Maybe it can be helped or maybe I will just stay away from coding when I teach in the future.
Annie,
ReplyDeleteI really like what you have come up with here. The design your program draws is very, very cool.
I am sorry you found the process frustrating, however. It is likely that this was not being able to powerfully connect what you were doing with what you really wanted to do., like something was lost in translation. This is not an uncommon experience, and I apologize for not providing more direct and concrete feedback on the work you are doing.
That being said, I would say that the next step would be to use some of the random numbers you generated to determine either of the circle parameters.
If you feel like it, give it a try.
